Refresh Metadata does not work. Unmatch & Rematch does work and brings in new metadata

Any way to fix that?

I have a library that I want to refresh its metadata (changed the language and agents ordering). If I click refresh metadata (either on one item or the whole library) leaves all movies practically identical. If I unmatch a movie and rematch it brings in the correct metadata with the correct language.

I have cleaned all meta-data agents cache, restarted PMS, etc.

Is this a know bug? Am I doing something wrong?

Refresh Metadata has, at times, been troublesome for the last 20 years facilitating The Plex Dance:

A work-around that old should tell ya something…lol

The General Rule of Thumb is:
If Refresh Metadata (at the Show Level for Shows) does nothing - The Plex Dance, if all steps are completed in order - will absolutely Refresh the Metadata by destroying the current Bundle and writing a brand new one - hopefully with all the right stuff in this new one.

PS:
Not even the Great and Powerful Plex Dance can mess with your Watch Status.
Dance away without fear.

That’s kinda standard practice for users, but something could be preventing a natural hook-up the first time. Public Enemy #1 is this regard is your file names and structures. I’ve not seen any of those yet - so there’s not a lot to go on here as far as troubleshooting.

If you can prove your file names and structures are NOT impeding your progress - we can call in various experts to inspect your junk (social distancing engaged so we’ll just look at your logs for now) and see what’s up.

Regarding your logs - Enable Debug - Disable Verbose - and wait for instructions:
