PLEX not finding my tuner.

I have a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 tuner on a Windows 10 computer. I went to ‘LIVE TV & DVR’ then DVR Setup and PLEX does not find my tuner. I uninstalled ‘WinTV 7’ software and updated the card’s drivers. I wonder if it is related to the resent Windows 10 April 2018 Update. This tuner did work with PLEX when I first set it up. As instructed on the Hauppauge website, I confirmed that camera access was turned on. I believe the 2250 is now supported but do not understand why PLEX cannot find it. I would appreciate any suggestions.

same issue for me. Tuners worked then got the update Windows 10 April 2018 Update and now plex cannot recognize tuners.

I’m sorry, but I am a novice to PLEX and am not sure what you are asking me to do. If you could explain how to give you that output I will try.

What ?!?!?!

You can’t share tuners like this. PMS can only see PCI/USB tuners if they are plugged into the computer it is running on. You can only share networks tuners like the HDHR ones.

The tuner was originally on the PMS computer and PLEX still did not find the tuner. I thought it may have been a bad PCI slot and moved it to another computer. Sorry. I will move the card back.

You might need to use three ` characters, key beside the number 1 key on the keyboard. Three of those added on a line then paste the text on the next line, and add three more of the same character on a line below the text you paste.

the april 2018 update removes system dll files/regisrty entries that the tuner exe relies on. If you have tuners setup, then run the april 2018 it will show they are missing or powered off. If you try to install new after the update plex will not find any tuners.

I rolled back Windows 10 to version 1709, before the April 2018 update, and PLEX still cannot find my tuner.
