I have new files added to my media folders, but Plex doesn’t seem to find them/scan them. I tried manually scanning, made sure my files were named correctly (and not duplicates). One way it seems to work is if I restart PMS every time there are new files. Thinking it would be a permissions issue with Synology, but I haven’t changed any settings at all? Any ideas?
Plex considers the share /volume2/torrents/Library/ to be unavailable… so this could be a permission issue or some hiccup with your share organization on the Syno. The torrents/ folder however appears to be available and Plex is scanning your files from that.
Updated to PMS 1.25.4.5487 and the same thing is happening to me as well.
I can add content to either my Movies or Shows library, and what seems to happen is that the Library scan (for either) then triggers and gets stuck running indefinitely, so then adding anymore content isn’t picked up since the scan is stuck. The only workaround is then to remove the newly added content, restart PMS, then add the new content. If a new library scan starts, restart the service again and repeat.
I have a similiar situation with the configuration: Raspberry Pi as Plex Server and a QNAP NAS as media storage.
For about a week or so the libraries won’t refresh neither automatically nor manually. New movies are only added if I restart the server. I suspect a Plex update to be the culprit.
