I’ve been adding my DVD collection to my plex server over the past several months (WD PR4100 NAS). Plex’s movie matching has worked near perfectly; I’ve been able to fix any miss-matches with minimal fuss. Today when I added some new movies to my “movie” folder, and “scan my library folder” as I normally do, my new movies popped up but they failed to pull in any metadata, at least right away. I came back 8 hours later, and found that 2 of the 3 movies I added had the right metadata, but no posters. The 3rd movie had no metadata at all.
If I try to manually match this 3rd movie (Avengers Age of Ultron - not exactly an obscure title), the normal “agents” where it pulls data from, I think it is “plex” or “IMDB” or something - those agents don’t show up right now. The drop down box says “loading.”
I’ve also noticed that I can’t go into my Plex server’s settings right now. If I try to navigate to any sections under “settings”, it tries for a while and then returns a “server settings are unavailable”. I am able to stream movies from my server to my PCs and phones, so the server is working.
I guess my question is this: Is this some type of Plex service problem that is affecting other people, or is this some type of server issue on my end alone. If it’s on my end, what I can do about this? Not sure where to start being new to Plex.
