currently have 800 plus video files but plex server is only picking up 792 files. all files are named correctly.
Names of missing files and server logs will help to diagnose the problem

It could also be due to some movies are part of a collection, and you in the Webclient are sorting by title, which will show those

If you look at Plex Media Server.log, you’ll see so many Permission Denied errors. I’m also seeing what I would describe are probably DNS lookup errors connecting to the plex.tv servers.
all permissions were set to read/write when server was setup
no collections setup
That may be, but something is not right now.

The Notify thing is curious, not exactly sure what that means
Try looking at this thread. Looks like they were getting the same error and manages to resolve it. See if any of their issue are in common with your etup.
