I’m having an issue after editing my library to match Music Brainz database. After editing the tags, I did de Plex Dance and everything but some of the albums don’t show cover art or the right artist of the song, i.e. if it’s an album released by artist X and has a song by artist Y, it won’t show up Artist Y in Plex Web.
I’m preferring local metadata over the agent one because I have different versions of a same album and I don’t know if Plex can handle disambiguation the same way as Music Brainz does. If there’s a way to handle disambiguation to filter between different releases of the same album, like this I’d happily switch to the new agent.
I’m leaving a picture of one of the artists affected, in this case it’s AKB48, as you can see it leaves some empty spaces, but the metadata is present on the files. Did another plex dance and a few of them showed up. Refreshing metadata sometimes work, sometimes doesn’t.
As a final question, I have some doubts about Artist bios. I checked and the artist has a brief summary on musicbrainz but doesn’t have one either under Allmusic or lastfm, so I get nothing. Is there a way to pull the data from musicbrainz itself? Or if I prefer local metadata I miss on this stuff too?
