Server Version#: Version 1.43.1.10611 Synology DS920+ DSM 7.3.2-86009 Update 3
I just upgraded from 1.42 but I was getting some playback glitches on LiveTV immediately afterwards. I heard that some users might have outdated codecs, so I stopped Plex, used FileStation to delete the EasyAuioEncoder and other linux codec folder, restarted plex, and tried to play some streams and nothing worked at all. I noticed the codecs were not automatically redownloading as expected.
I restored the versions I delete from the recycle bin and things started working again and now they seem to be ok, but I’m still not sure if they are the latest version?
Anyone have suggestions why it won’t download fresh codecs?
I haven’t been hyper cautious around with permissions on Plex ever since the amazing @ChuckPa gave me hand and helped me correctly reset all my folder permissions last year (due to another unrelated issue).
So I’m pretty confident permissions are ok unless a recent DSM upgrade changed something.
