When loading new TV episodes with srt files, Plex doesn’t recognise the existence of the subtitles if the video files are in avi or mp4 format. I don’t have the same issue with mkv files.
Is there anything I can do to overcome this problem?
I don’t think that I have always had this problem but have certainly found it consistently for some months now so perhaps it has something to do with a Plex update.
Check all your agent settings and make sure that the ‘Local Media Assets’ agent is activated everywhere.
(However it doesn’t need to be in the topmost position, like the documentation suggests. In fact, I recommend the opposite.)
Please post the guid="......" part of the Plex XML info of one affected episode.
