Did not work. Deleting the mentioned files and re-starting the server had no effect. It still cannot see the HD HomeRun.
As a regression experiment I tried my old HD Connect (2 tuner) and it worked fine. The Quatro gets stuck when trying to get an IP address from the DHCP server. Nothing to do with Plex. The green light continually blinks indicating no address acquired. The config software from Silicon Dust detects the 2-tuner Connect but not the Quatro (4 tuner). Based on these tests I have confirmed that the Quatro is now a brick. Thank you Silcon Dust for again having your devices built in countries that donât have the word âqualityâ in their vocabulary. With no âFactory Resetâ option I will soon be checking the aerodynamic qualities of the Quatro and looking for a better way to engage the Plex Server.
Have you tried setting a DHCP reservation in your router for the Quatro? Have you tried to contact SiliconDust about exchanging?
Even though the Quatro worked well for a few months, the web site config and the software config which are both provided by Silicon Dust do not detect the Quatro anymore. All other devices on my network have no issues. Iâve opened a ticket
with SD but, donât expect anything. I had similar issues with a Tablo 4. After several attempts and techniques the tech confirmed I had a brick. I returned it and got my money back. Poor quality control in foreign lands where items are made cheaply and margins are high when sold is now the norm. I work in tech (30 years plus) and this is a common problem with cheap hardware. Will just have to move on if no solution is found.
Sorry to hear that. I have had nothing but good luck with SiliconDust products. Currently have 2 HDHR Connects, 2 HDHR Extends, an older HDHR Dual, and a HDHR Prime that is no longer used since I only have OTA here, not cable. The 2 HDHR Extends I have were bought from the refurbished site and they have both been running for over one year now, one of them close to 2 years.
I had the same problem at one time. You have to make sure the tv and HDHomeRun are on the same local network in order to see each other.
I got my situation fixed, but after it records one show and starts to process it, it crashes the database which is on my NAS server. Canât seem to get that sorted now.
Hi I have had a HDHomeRun two tuners working fine dvr recording across all devices for months but for the last three days the homerun works fine but plex doesnât see the tuner and all recording fail. Any advice welcome. Not that text savvy more a plug and play thatâs why plex is good for me
