Plex not respecting temporary transcoder directory

So been having problems with syncing…frequent errors saying that the transcoder failed.

Finally figured out that its because when trying to transscode for sync plex is using shield internal storage rather than the custom directory (drive which also contains pms database)

This is a new problem since I know that it has used the custom directory in earlier versions on the shield so wondering if some one can identify what’s going wrong.
