I am having an issue with one of my TV Shows not properly separating and displaying the show into Seasons. I’ve separated everything properly into individual folders and named everything exactly like it recommends.
When I first add the show through the Plex.tv site, it will start out showing the total number of seasons…
… but then changes to only show up with the total number of episodes.
If I open up the show, it will show On Deck S01 E01 only the first time.
After that it doesn’t even let me select the Season at all. In the Plex.tv app on my phone, I don’t get any option what so ever to at any point to choose by Season. Plex is even pulling all the episode names for everything as well. I’m at a loss here. I’ve done everything I can think of… I really, really need some help here.
Edit your TV show library, go to the ‘Add folders’ tab and see to which folder the library points. In your case it should be only H:\Video\TV Shows - not deeper, nor higher.
Then perform the Plex Dance.
Do also look up your show at TheTVDB, to verify you are using the right episode order - particularly important with anime.
However, after clicking the Pencil, I clicked Advanced, and then ‘Season’, and set it to show. I figured that’s what you were getting at. For some reason it was set to ‘Hide’.
Can’t thank you enough! Spent 7 HOURS trying to fix this. Kept converting files and changing file names and nothing was working… turns out it was just 4 mouse clicks from being fixed. XD

james.c.andrew@gmail.com had the right answer here.
But, to respond to what you suggested, my folder setup is exactly like you wrote.
I performed many a dance, while crossing every body part I could, on top of avoiding all black cats and evil omens.
I had also looked up everything on both TheTVDB and The Movie Database sites and verified that everything was arranged correctly.
I appreciate the response. It’s nice to see multiple people out there helping others.

Heh! I’ve had plenty of good advice from the folks here, so it’s nice to be able to help out myself. Glad it all got sorted.
