Plex not showing up over wi-fi

We’ve got the builders in so I had to move all my network gear which means I lost my ethernet connection between my QNAP server and my TV. Since then, I’ve had to rely on my 5gHz wi-fi to get the internet into it. Everything works; Netflix, iPlayer, the lot…except Plex. When I start the app it tells me the server is unavailable or can’t be reached. If I access it through my PC, which is still ethernet connected, Plex works fine. I have put in the TV’s IP address to the settings as a device that does not need to be authorised but it still won’t connect.
Any ideas?

Could be your WIFI is establishing a separate network/subnet inside your home network.

It can’t be that since all other networked services, Netflix, etc are working normally. The TV is successfully connected to the wifi…it’s just Plex that won’t work.

If you’re accessing Plex locally, clients won’t detect a server in a different subnet (unless you specifically tell your server that subnet is part of your local network or enable remote access). Those other services are accessing the provider’s backend services in the internet… that’s different.

How do I find that out since the only IP addresses are in the TV and on the router? The subnet on those two are the same. Unless this other subnet is hidden in some way. I have no idea where to find it. I’ve been through my router’s settings with a fined toothed comb and no joy. All my IP addresses are in the 192.168.1.100 - 133 range.
