This is driving me nuts and I can’t figure it out. Hopefully someone here can as I will be the first to admit that I am not that tech wise.
So I’m running plex on a media server at home. And from there, everything is good. I’ve got all my files added and everything works. However, from outside my network like when I take my laptop to work or a friend tries to watch something on my server, nothing is updating. Old versions of the server are there. But none of the new directories that I added over the weekend. None of the new shows I added over the weekend. Nothing new.
So I’ve tried restarting the server both on the media server and on the laptop that it won’t seem to update on. I’ve tried refreshing all libraries on both machines. Like I said, on the machine itself where everything is stored, everything is accurate and works fine. It’s like the server isn’t updating for anything outside of the network though. Any ideas on a fix here? I’m not above taking a cartridge out and blowing in it, I already tried turning it off and back on again, and am trying to stop short of taking a baseball bat to it. So any help is appreciated.
Have you checked the Plex knowledge base and searched on the sub and Google: Yes.
Server version: Current on all computers.
OS: Windows 10
