I updated a series on TVDB 3 days ago (on Saturday). Some of the metadata has been updated (for example the poster which was previously missing) but the episodes are still completely wrong. I’ve tried switching the metadata provider around to force update metadata and I’ve tried the Plex dance. Both were unsuccessful.

It can take several days for updated info at TVDB\TMDB to show up with Plex.
It looks like you are using TheTVDB Absolute ordering - do you have that picked as the episode order for the show?
Yes, I have. From what I’ve read on the forum it should have updated by now. What I also don’t understand is why the poster updated when the rest didn’t
Should be solid then… it’ll just be waiting for now.
I think there’s like an order of operations thing. Like artwork gets priority and then the other details are after. They also prioritize newer titles over older and such, things like that… so it’s not as simple as scan for changes and pull 'em. At least as far as I’m aware. The “wait 48-72 hrs” thing is standard but I’ve seen it take longer.
Maybe if it’s not there by the weekend then hit this post back up on Monday when it’ll have been clearly enough time for Plex cache to have updated.
You are at the very early edge of the update window. It normally takes 3-5 days on average.
If you are going to insert show metadata on websites, start with TheMovieDB.org
That’s the primary source for Plex.
