Plex not working on mac or iPhone

Hello. Plex works perfectly on my desktop (laptop, Windows), then played through my fire TV via the Plex app. It doesn’t work through my iPhone or Macbook, it says “Unable to connect to “my server” securely.”

if you follow the server log article the zip file it creates is what we need. Almost every time someone asks if we need logs, the answer will be yes. :slight_smile:

Before posting server logs, check your DNS settings on your Mac and iPhone. If not set to a public DNS provider (I’d recommend CloudFlare, 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1) try that.

Only then post your server logs.

The majority of these types of connection issues are caused by DNS. Specifically, by a feature of some routers: DNS rebinding protection. It can cause Plex clients to not be able to resolve the IP addresses of local clients due to potential security mitigations.
