iPhone, Web Player Stopped working a few weeks ago

Server Version#:Latest
Player Version#:Latest

A few weeks ago I found that I could not connect to my Plex Server using the iPhone App when inside or outside the LAN. Nothing has changed. I have read all the articles I can find and nothing helps. I deleted all my devices - re-added the server and then added devices. Roku’s work locally (I can’t test remotely easily). But the iPhone Plex app continues to get stuck at the loading screen - even on LAN. The Plex Dash and Plex Amp work in in LAN, but no longer work with in WAN. The Plex web player does not work either on LAN or WAN. The Plex desktop app works in LAN - but only if I click the button to allow insecure connection in the player.

Notes:
Remote access was working perfectly until about 2-3 weeks ago
Note that My Server has Security Connections = Preferred
Note that on the Remote Access tab - it initially shows failure, and when I press Retry - it shows success, but then will go back to failure eventually
Nothing on the LAN has changed
I moved the server from Windows 7 to a new box with Windows 10 - but kept the same IP address (the old computer is unplugged).

Working
Accessing locally on the server via IP on LAN
Accessing locally via IP address in browser on a different computer LAN
Plex on Roku on LAN
iPhone Plex Amp on LAN
iPhone Plex Dashon on LAN

Not Working
Accessing locally on the Desktop App (fails on LAN)
This was working - until I deleted all devices from the Plex server and had to login again
The server “REDACTED” does not allow secure connections
Its “Secure connections” setting may be set to disabled, or you may need to adjust some settings on your network.
Unable to connectr to “REDACTED” securelly.
app.plex.tv (fails on LAN)
app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “REDACTED” securely
Its “Secure connections” setting may be set to disabled, or you may need to adjust some settings on your network.

It will show my libraries - but then an exclimation point and "No Content Available"
iPhone Plex (fails on LAN AND WAN)
It is connecting - it is added to the device list on the server - but can't get past the Loading process. The log mentions something about a certificate.
iPhone Plex Dash (fails on WAN)
iPhone Plex Dash (fails on WAN)

I really need to get this working! I have Plex Lifetime and would hate to find that they don’t support it and I will loose the ability to stream on my iPhone either inside or outside the LAN.

Thanks for your help!

Use “Method 2.2” from here: You need to reclaim your server, but don't dare to touch the Windows Registry

I’m sorry but this did not work. Still have the same issue. I exited Plex server, ran the Reg file, started plex server, logged out, claimed server. Clients (even if I log out and back in) can’t connect. On the desktop app I have to use the option to use insecure connections.

I have confirmed that I can no longer stream to Plex outside the LAN.

Should I consider setting up my own domain and SSL certificate? If so - how do I setup Plex to use the domain name (if this is even needed/possible)?

No. This will only add even more unnecessary complexity.

  • Verify that Windows has classified the network connection as “private”, not as “public”.
  • Are you using any 3rd-party firewall software, or VPN software, or anti virus software?
  • Any additional “internet filter” appliances in use in your network (Pi-hole etc.)?
  • Are there more than one “router”-type devices in your home network?
  • Is the range of IP addresses in your home network from a range which is dedicated to “private” networks? Private network - Wikipedia
