Hello community,
A few years ago I could see Plex on my Samsung TV perfectly but for a while now, Plex has not worked anymore.
Every time I open Plex on the smart tv, the loading screen appears, and within seconds it closes automatically.
The smart tv model is Samsung UN32J5500AGCDF and the software version is 1550 (no other version is available).
Could it be that Plex is no longer supported on that TV model? Or is there something else happening to me?
I hope someone can help me,
Thanks a lot.

On September 30, 2020 we will be ending support for the Plex app on some older smart TVs. These devices are unable to use modern, secure connections when communicating with our services. A non-exhaustive list TVs that are potentially affected by this include:
LG models running “Netcast” (the pre-webOS system)
Vizio models running “Presto” (models using a Mediatek chipset)
Older Hisense models
Panasonic (2014-2016 models)
Pre-2016 Samsung models, running v1.x of the community Samsung Smart Hu…

Yes it’s Smart Hub TV correct Tom, the Op best option is a box like a Roku or Apple TV unfortunately. Considering the Tv is a HD model and not a UHD 4K, there are many secondhand devices that will work really well.
If you really want to jump in, a new TV, would a expensive solution.
