Synology DS218j
DSM 7
Plex Web Version 4.63.0
PMS PlexMediaServer-1.24.5.5173
I’ve just updated my DS218j to DMS 7 and updated to the latest version of PMS (downloaded from the Plex website). However when trying to access the playlists etc. via PlexAmp on my iPhone or Plex on Windows or Android it says there’s no tracks available, and even Music on the Webapp at http://192.168.135.102:32400/web/index.html#!/media/c290d4e598d291ddaff0d5fd8942cde27430bd5d/com.plexapp.plugins.library?source=1
keeps coming up “Something went wrong An unexpected error occurred.” on the Webapp and “Unable to load data this makes me sad” on the Iphone.
The network drive is attached to my primary router and I can access it without any problems.
Have I done something wrong in the installation process of DSM7 or Plex? I do know I have quite a large music collection (about 75,000 tracks), but before this update it was working fine. Anyone any ideas? Should I just uninstall it and try and start again. Ideally I’d like to keep my playcounts but if they go it’s not a huge deal.
I have read those guides. I’ve done a complete uninstall, tried to re-install it but still coming up with the same message. Should I have done the option with the code when I tried to re-intall it. I did the complete uninstall.
Where do I find Plex Share - Migration.log file? I can’t see any file or folder with that name.
Sorry if I’m being dumb. Just not very good with all this technical stuff. I did the DSM 7 Update via the interface. I then uninstalled Plex, deleted the folders for it, and tried to re-install it via the downloaded link but it’s not doing anything. I get the screen where it says installation successful. Then I try and run it and I get Something went wrong.
Finally got it working again. I completely uninstalled Pelx, then signed out on every device. Thankfully it now let sign back in and I could start afresh.
