Plexpass gives you access to LG app, XboxOne, PS4 apps.
as well as PlexHome and trailers.
I registered in the UK website (http://gb.lgappstv.com/) and it seems like it's for non WebOS only. When accessing the "Device Compatibility" tab on the website it says:
If I try another app I know works for WebOS (like Netflix) I get:
So I assume it's not for WebOS. Anyone has some inside details if there will be an WebOS version?

i think it might have had the Plug Pulled somewhere along the line guys with the webos tv in Uk and Australia, last week I was able to Download the App, this week the app has Dissapeared off the the app store page Completely and says it can't be found by my tv, luckily Its allready downloaded to my webos tv and seems to be working okay,Ā :blink:

And OS version was up but I don't know why but it got pulled I managed to get what Imagine is an OS version before it got Pulled from my particular Australian LGĀ TV set.
The icon is missing and the Background in the Icon is Blood red.
Ā it was briefly in the App store and now the ICONS gone and the APP is missing from the App store, but the app its self is working on my tv :huh:
But I really can't stand the fact you can't get rid of the Boarders on the app like you can with the Australian Plex non official app and you can't get rid of the title or the picture by clicking on the arrow Button like you can on Simons app and get rid of the Boarders and the Meta Info like you can on the PS4 APP so you can watch a movie without the ugly Overlay Ā :(

im using plex on ios devices and the samsung smart app without problems. it also happens i want to buy some new tvĀ“s. because of plex, i always go samsung, but lg as some nice models. in tinking of buying thisĀ 32LB5800 , but its not web os based. My question, does this new app work with that model?
can we get some details on the os or tv model the app works?Ā
getting the plex pass wont be the problem, but returning 3 tvs will.

I got an LG 32LB5800 last week and yes Plex app is available on it. Unfortunately I don't have Flex Pass so I can't tell you how well it is working.
Could someone tell me if the app can play 10-bit videos? I don't have any other device that supports flex, so I find Flex Pass useless for me (I can leave without a fancy looking menu till the app stops requiring flex pass, dlna is good enough for my needs).

Has many others, I'm currently waiting for the availability of Official Plex client on my LG UltraHD TV 55UB850V ... but this is really strange : Plex is not available for me, while one of my friend that just bought the LG UltraHD TV 65UB970V could download and install the official client ...
Both TV are WebOS driven, both TV does have the same hardware concerning the WebOS engine ... so, what ?
It seems that there is no definitive rule about the LG/WebOS Plex Client at this point ?
The official app seems to only be compatible with 2013 non-webOS models only and only usable with a paid plex pass subscription (for now). Some webOS users have mentioned they were able to install it but arenāt now. Since the app is in version 1.0 it is likely undergoing changes and they have limited the access to one platform for stable public testing. Makes me wish I had a compatible TV and plex pass thatās for sure.
As of now, itās not available for my LB657100 with webOS setup for Canada or the US.
I donāt recall any of the webOS users mentioning how well it worked once they had it installed. If it works well then at least we know it will likely be further developed and made available to us if/when itās deemed stable.
does this version of plex support direct play when using external subtitles?

When I select Input on my settings where it lists HDMI1, etc. I also see Plex Media Server there. It's just folders and stuff, ugly UI and all but it works so much better. What is this called BTW? Is it just DLNA? Why is this working so much faster that the Plex client LG just released? The Plex client buffers for ever where as the Plex Media Server through my TV runs like a champ?
Sounds like you purchased the unofficial (but still great) PlayZ app. The app speed will be effected by a number of things like network speed and the processing power of your media pc. DLNA is fast because it doesnāt have a fancy interface. This thread is for the currently free official Plex app in the smart world store.
The new official plex app is optimized very well and has a snappy fast UI but how fast it performs loading/playing your content will depend on your network and connection type and among other things. Love that Their is New App for LG. I own 3 Different 2013 LG Models. However I would like access to my cloudshare. My whole Point is to stream my own collection that I have uploaded via Cloud Sync. Please Add to the Plex app.

It was in the app store but was removed and not Re instated, and I was not able to download it again or even Update the app as it was pushing some update message on me! The App was Similar but different to the PS4 app and not able to play without displaying the menu, better off going through a PS4 or if you have simons PLex app client Going through that instead for webos Plex playing!
Will this app give me access to the content being shared by my friends?
