im new to Plex and trying migrate from Kodi Im using the harmony remote (with hub) to navigate.
I need to solve one problem - im the one, who switches the audio tracks many times during video playback Same thing for the subtitles. To do that, i need to press many buttons atm. It is not comfortable for me
It is possible to map/remap some buttons in the fire tv app (or maybe elsewhere) to make switching audiotracks and subtitles to work?
What you are asking for probably can be done inside the Harmony app. There you can remap keys and create macros and assign them to buttons on the Harmony remote. I have done that for many reasons, but not what you are trying to do. One thing I have doe is that I find the play/pause placement at the top of the remote quite clumsy so I remap the play/pause to channel up/down since channel up/down makes no sense in the Fire’s functionality.
I also remap several other keys just to make my using the Harmony remote easier.
I do not have any macros for my Fire TV but I do have several for my Roku. I have one that automatically jumps forward in the NHL app the length of their commercials and still another that automatically skips the entire time between periods.
The Harmony’s ability to remap and have macros has been and continues to be very valuable to me, Plex is not the place for such things but the Harmony is the perfect place.
