Plex on LG: Direct play (black video but audio is fine)

Plex Client Version: 5.2.6.3 (Plex for LG)
Plex Plattform Version: 5.3.0 (Plex for LG)

I currently have the problem on the LG TV that movies and series (a variety) are recognized as Direct Play but the video is black.

I can’t narrow down if it came with the last server or client update but I didn’t have this problem before.

I have already completely reset the app and also played around with the settings. When I transcode, it works.

According to the debug log from the client, direct playback is possible.

Okay, exciting. I was able to solve the problem on the device by disabling the “Insecure connection”. So there seems to be a bug somewhere when using the insecure connection.
