Plex on LG WebOS 3.0 - Reset Loop

Hi Plex team,

Please assist.
My plex app on my LG projector (WebOs 3.00.21) is stuck in a reset loop.

I have plex running on Lunix Docker environment and can access it via the browser on the projector (but prefer to us the app)…

Any assistance from Plex would be great

I was told that you could try:

  • Stop and restart your server
  • deinstall the app of the projector
  • reinstall it and re-link it with your account

I was told, that: while the app is available in the app store on these devices, it is not supported on projectors and such. Only on Smart TVs.
The app store doesn’t allow to block unsupported device types.

I hope a fix will be released soon, can’t imagine the fix requiring sweeping changes to the app.

If the issue is only occuring on this projector-type device, then there won’t be a fix.

There surely has to be a fix for this coming…
I’m sorry but look at the number of queries logged for this…with no responses to fixes.

We buy projectors to enjoy the benefits of Plex even more…but can’t.

Sorry, there will not be a fix for an issue that is specifically occuring on a projector device.
Only ‘TV’ devices are supported with the LG app.
