Problem opening plex app on webos projector (It was so nice to be true)

Hello,

I have a projector with webos that can’t open the app. It always says that the app is unable to start due an error.

I’m able to access Plex form PC, PS4, smartphone, etc. but it’s nicer to access directly.

After the update that caused screen size problem to some users, I tried to start the app and it works after insert the pin. I couldn’t believe it. I was so happy, but when I came home at night, the app ask me for the pin and starts the old nightmare.

Now, I’m trying to delete all the app to try again, but it never ask me for the pin again. I tried to unistall, unplug the proyector, a factory reset, etc. but it never ask me for it. I supose that the config file is not beeing reset.

I need help. I was resigned to it, but the other day works flawesly and it gives me hope.

I’m sorry if I made some mistakes, I’m not a native English.

The Plex app is not supported on the LG projectors, unfortunately it appears in the store, but has the issues you describe.

This is due to how the platform stores the data for the app; it is not deleted when the app is uninstalled, you’d need to do a factory reset to force it to go through the linking process.
