Plex on LG WebOS 3

Hello
Today i went a got myself an lg led smart tv with webOS 3.0 so i could use my plex pass on my tv. before i got the tv i checked the plex support page and it said plex is on webOS 1, 2 & 3. so i got the latest 2016 LED screen, and wow im so disapointed

cant seem to find the plex app on the download page, i can cast plex from my tab or pc to the tv built in wifi.

so what am i doing wrong? i just spent £349 on a new tv that does the same as my old one.
please could someone direct me on what to do. do you think i can take tv back if there is nothing wrong with it? or am i looking in the wrong place for the app

which model number is it?

There is a version of WebOS called WebOSlite and another called Simple Smart which our app is not available on currently ( but we are working on getting it on those too )

the model of tv is:-

LG 43LH604V 43 Inch Full HD WebOS Smart LED TV.

the actual listing is argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5248843.htm#pdpFullDesc

the listing just says WebOS.

on the tv it says webOS TV Version is… 3.0.0-16622 (dreadlocks-deathvally)
software version …03.00.85

it should be on that TVwhen you search their store. not sure why it would not be. on LGs site it says WebOS3 http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-43LH604V

I know I just went to the app store and searched for plex and it was there, also an app called xplay, which is a community made player.

Maybe make sure your webOS/tv software is up to date, don’t think the app store filters by compatibility, but who knows

May I please know why the app is freezing and consistenly hanging on the LG TV 2016 model?

I spent ages going through all the store and cant find plex or xplay, when i search all i get is you tube videos about plex.

i went to the system menu to see if i could update the TV, and it just says no update available. would it be anything to do with the country. as when i set the TV i selected UK. would changing that do anything?

please make a new thread. by hitting the Ask a Question button and provide details of when it is freezing what is the app doing

we do not region restrict the app but i guess it is worth a try if nothing else is working.

( seems odd the app store is showing you youtube results )
