I have never been able to add TV Shows to my NVIDIA shield pro, edited the files myself, used RenameMyTvSeries app to do it, tinkered all the things I could thought of, nothing worked. I even changed the account, started from scratch, deleted apps and data to find my self at the same point. Used the same account to set up another Plex server from a Mac and found no problems aggregating all the series, as they were or edited. I even made a library pointing at the storage of the Nvidia so naming is not the problem. The media is all in MKV format but I can see only the folders. Searched the internet, nobody seem to have exactly this problem, most are due to naming or permissions to access certain folders, if nobody can help I’ll have to run with the two servers setup but I’d rather not. Please help!! Thank you.
Is this behavior specific for tv shows or does it apply to all media you’ve got on your SHIELD?
If a different server will pick the files up, this shouldn’t be about naming or organization of your files. That kind of puts permissions and media storage handling into focus.
Hi. I use removable storage and all other media works fine made a movie folder and a cartoon folder, pointed at them and both are working fine. The TV folder doesn’t. Made varios folders because I thought I’ve screwed up there but with no use. When I used the iMac Sever and pointed at the same folder it showed me everything fine, no problem whatsoever. I really “investigated” the problem before asking here, and I put it between quotation marks because reading/watching tutorials and forums doesn’t really count as investigation.
