I've got a couple issues going on related to the PS3.
1) Is anyone else having difficulty getting the new plex channel to work? I've logged into PS3, installed the channel, logged into plex online and added the pin. I then get "An error Occurred" with 3 options to "try Again" "Go Home" or "Sign Out". I've tried them all on 2 different PS3's to no avail.
I was hoping this channel would work for me because...
2) I can no longer open up my plex movies folder through the PS3. It tries for 30-40 seconds and then I get a DLNA protocol error 2006 and the folder eventually says "there are no titles". This has been going on for a month or so.
If you've enabled Plex Home, then DLNA is disabled by default (I believe). That might explain #2.
For the other, I'd suggest posting in the Playstation forum. Since you're running on a Synology, I doubt you're going to get much use out of the Playstation app though, as I think it will frequently want to transcode you're media.
the Plex app on the PS3 does not require DLNA. though DLNA access should still work like it always has. but please post issues in the Playstation section so the devs who work on it can be more easily made aware of your connection issues as they look at that forum most
