Plex on QNAP does not work after wake from sleep

Server Version#: 4.109.2
Player Version#: From anywhere (web browser, LG Plex TV app, Samsung Plex TV app)

Since a few months (if not one year) Plex server does not work after resuming my QNAP from sleep mode. To make it work I have either to reboot my QNAP completely or stop the Plex server app in my QNAP and re-launch it. This is very annoying, making Plex almost unusable. Anyone had the same issue and how was it solved? Thanks.

Need to see the server logs ZIP file. Not doubting it’s happening but need to see it.

In all the testing done here, and with my two QNAP systems, PMS resumes ok.

Which sleep mode is the QNAP going into?
Because of how PMS works, HDDs (CACHEDEV1 … or wherever PMS is installed) will never sleep unless extraordinary measures are taken.

Hi Chuck, thanks. I have attached the logs. My QNAP is put to sleep every night at midnight through the power schedule available in the control panel. I wake up the system when I need it via WOL from Qmanager. All this has been working fine for 10+ years … but since last year, most of the times (9 out of 10 I would say) , the Plex server app doesn’t seem to work after my QNAP is awaken from sleep mode.

Unfortunately, i cannot use these logs.

You turned off DEBUG logging.

INFO/ERROR doesn’t tell me what is happening when it wakes – HOWEVER

QNAP is doing a HARD shutdown. The only thing enabled is WOL.
(You’re doing a full reboot each time)

I need to let you know that the J1900 CPU is “very long in the tooth”

Is this a “Not working” or “Not waiting long enough” ???

QTS got fatter and so did Plex. The J1900 isn’t as strong (relatively speaking) as it used to be.
