Plex on Qnap TS-451+

Server Version#: 1.16.6
Player Version#:

I used to run my plex server on a Windows PC, never had any issues until the motherboard packed in so I decided to purchase a new Qnap TS-451+ which I installed 4 nice new drives (others were a few years old) and installed Plex via the Applications within the Qnap control panel.

Everything seems OK with the Qnap, no error messages but then I open the plex I get the following error message

Hmmm… can’t reach this page

It looks like 192.168.0.245 closed the connection

Try:

ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED

so I’m stumped as to why Plex wont open in any browser. Does anyone know what I’m missed? The NAS system is new to me so learning as I go, lol

Cheers

Now that the NAS is LAN vs local, the LAN subnet address comes into play.
Also, is there a firewall on the PC which would block traffic from other devices?

As a basic check, http://192.168.0.245:32400/web using an incognito window?

@ChuckPa

I tried with incognito mode and it loaded the Plex, lol…

Well after some testing it was the URL on the app that was at fault, I removed the /index and now it works just fine.

Thank you for the help
