Plex will not open
Plex is on a Qnap NAS
Last night it just stopped !
So I stopped in App center and restarted and back it came.
Today it’s gone.
Plex.tv shows it but will not open.
Stopped and started several times as well as a NAS reboot.
Uninstalled latest version 1.16.2 and installed the 2nd latest version-1.16.1
Uninstalled that and tried 1.15.6
Moved it from it’s own volume to the QTS volume
Removed the app completely and reinstalled.
I forgot to mention I have 3 other plex servers. 2 on pc’s and 1 on a synology.
The pc’s versions have been fine.
Both the Syno plex and the Qnap server both failed a week ago at the same time - the pc’s kept working (both pc’s linked to the NAS for the media)
The qnap came back a day later and the Syno 4 days later.
This was b4 I rebuilt the Qnap.
Have also tried edge and firefox.
I think there has been 2 updates in the last week! Makes me think something is buggy.
and Firefox
Unable to connect
Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.12:32400.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
So no I cannot reach it by browser.
If I goto plex.tv I see my other servers but not the Qnap NAS.
If this is a new and unclaimed install, then it’ll not connect, if clicking on the icon in the appstore, since that link is: https://<IP_OF_QNAP>:32400/web, but https is only working after the PMS has been claimed.
Thanks Dane,
The problem was so simple I am surprised no one here or on the qnap site suggested it.
I just kept searching from link to another link, then another link
So it was a corrupted DB . I deleted it, restarted and bingo back it came.
Then replaced it with another DB and kept all my played shows…
Well ! It would not open so logs could not be found.
It wasn’t until I found your qpkg app that found the logs.
You did not suggest that - i found it in another post !!
