Plex on Qnap tvs 682 with supported 1050 Gpu not using gpu

Just installed a supported GeForce gtx 1050 on my qnap server. Qnap server running QTS 5.1.5.2645

NVIDIA Gpu driver is 5.1.0.0822

NV kernel driver is 5.1.5.2645

I have enabled use hardware acceleration when an available as well as use hardware accelerated encoding.

Under hardware transcoding device i have chosen my device GeForce gtx 1050 ti.

I have a plex pass.

Plex does not seem to be using the Gpu. When I transcode a video and look at the dashboard, it does not show the HW after transcoding. Nor do i seem to be getting anything on the qnap resource monitor Gpu usage. My card does show but im seeing no activity.

Any help is appreciated as i want to get some load off my cpu.

In case someone comes across this issue, i uninstalled NVIDIA Gpu driver and reinstalled. Originaly this was installed before nv kernal driver was. Installing after the nv kernal driver is installed, the Gpu functions as expected.
