Plex on Samsung TV won't connect to NAS

Hi all. Since updating Plex to the above version, on my Samsung TV I keep getting the error “NASName is Currently Unavailable”. I have a Synology NAS and it was working fine before this update. I’ve tried rolling back to a previous version (1.18.7.2457) but the issue still occurs.

Also deleted, re-installed the app on the TV and Plex from the NAS to no effect. Please help.

Hi there,

Thanks for looking into this. Ok, I fixed the double NAT issue. I have a broadband modem and wi-fi router, both doing NAT. I setup a port forward on the modem to the external IP on the Wi-Fi router using your troubleshooting page here , and the Remote Access test passed whereby before it was failing.

However, unfortunately it still hasn’t fixed the issue. Note, it’s only occurring on my Samsung TV. It plays fine from my iPad and PC Desktop. Hoping you can still assist.

P.S DNS Rebinding Protection was already disabled in my router.

Hi mate,

I followed the above and it’s all good now thanks very much! BTW, when enabling DNS Rebinding Protection in Merlin-WRT on my Asus router I don’t get the option to add any domains, or any other options don’t come up so I left it off.
