Unfortunately they got me by the balls since I use Plex Home users. I could force them all to their own accounts, and I still might do that, but it is a lot of work.
Also I am not really sure what else I am going to lose that I use all the time and just don’t think about it. I would hate to cancel and then realize it screws up something I didn’t think about.
But yeah, the moment I am confident that I can make a clean break, I will absolutely cancel Plex Pass. I signed up to Plex Pass for early updates and new features with the understanding that “hey, these new features might not always work right while in beta”.
In no way shape or form am I cool with them breaking stuff that is already working just fine and has no reason to change like this PS4 issue, and the Chromecast issue that is currently going on.
Ugh…after going and looking at the Plex Pass list of benefits page I can almost for sure say I won’t be able to drop it. Losing sync, and premium music library stuff, as well as the photos stuff is going to screw me up if I cancel.
Hey Plex boys and girls, would have been back sooner but had some ISP issues. Thankfully though unlike you they resolved said issues in a swift and timely manner.
So, what have I missed, have we rolled back, have we had an update or are we still exactly where we all were 7 days ago?
Uhuh, I see absolutely no progress what so ever has been made. Ok, well shall I pencil you all in for the same thing, same time, next week? Great. Can’t wait.
Hi all. I have some updates for you. Sony are currently testing a fix for the issue internally and as soon as they release it we’ll begin the process of deploying the update for our app too.
Many of you have asked why we didn’t simply rollback the update and there’s a few reasons for that. Rolling back is not as simple as it sounds. The update was a platform framework update, and it was not clear what issues would arise from updating the app with an earlier framework version. After speaking with Sony we felt it was best to hold off and wait for a fix from them, rather than attempt to rollback to an earlier release that was much slower and more crashy for a lot of you, especially as they provided a short term workaround that worked for most of you.
Prods post with stick… Yup. Still Here. You know what isnt? A fix to this issue. Take it you’re still using the whole “were waiting on Sony” excuse right. Uhhuh sure.
Oh but what I would like to add is, BRAVO SLOW CLAP. Latest server update was just gold. Now almost everything that plays in the PS4 APP (audio wise) repeatedly cuts out randomly during playback. I can only begin to imagine what kack handed coding youve done this time. Would you like a Transcoding for dummies book for xmas by chance?
Looking forward to the next PS4 and server updates. At least its never a dull moment using PLEX.
