About two months ago I had an issue with my Nvidia Shield when I started Plex. The app would open, then close and take me back to the Shield opening screen, then automatically open again. After watching something on my drive for about half an hour it would then start briefly freezing, then get increasingly worse, and then Plex would then automatically crash and restart itself. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Plex app on my Shield, and it was fine for about six weeks… now it’s starting all over again. Has anybody experienced this and knows how to remedy it? Thanks.
Try rebooting the shield itself. When I get odd issues with it (such as clicking the Plex icon loads the google store instead Plex) a reboot fixes that. Since the device never truly turns off, it can get real cranky having been on for so long.
Thanks… I rebooted my Shield a couple of times, but it’s still happening.
