Plex pass download with linux

Server Version#: Version 1.26.2.5797
Player Version#: Version 4.83.2
hello,
i have plexmediaserver on a devian install.
When i do a “apt update” i have the 1.26.2.5797 version result and i can’t update.
But if i manually look on the download page Media Server Downloads | Plex Media Server for Windows, Mac, Linux, FreeBSD and More, with plex pass activate, that i own, i can see a more recent update avalaible.
how wan i update on my server ? with a apt update i can’t.
thanks

The beta / Plex Pass version isn’t available via the apt repository.
You can download the latest package from the download page and manually install it using

Run sudo dpkg -i plexmediaserver_1.19.4.2935-79e214ead_amd64.deb (replacing the last filename with the name of the package you downloaded)

see https://support.plex.tv/articles/200288586-installation/

There’s a number of scripts in in the forum that’ll automate the update – however that’ll require your Plex Token (which is synonymous to your account/password – so be careful if you trust/understand a specific script before giving that away).

Edit:
Keep in mind the version in the apt repository is considered a stable release while the Plex Pass updates are usually considered “early access” or beta versions.

nice thank you, i though plex pass version would be available via apt with i different way.
maybe i’ll try manually or maybe i’ll stay on a stable release, i have to choose.

thank you
