I subscribed to the Plex Pass in order to get access to DVR and Live TV Service. Recording seems to work but when trying to view channels they come in chopped in and out with buffering issues. I am using a HD Homerun quad tuner. There is no issue with watch live channels with the native HD Homerun app, VLC etc. When I use Plex it has issues. I am running a Synology 415 Play and entire network is Gig Ethernet and Plex clients are on TV, AppleTV. Any assistance would be appreciated
The AppleTV cannot natively play LiveTV without transcoding (converting the video to a compatible format on the fly) – and it sounds like the Synology doesn’t have enough horsepower to do that (it’s a fairly CPU-intensive process).
Its interesting as my Sony TV running PLEX has no problem, neither does by blue Ray player. Thanks for the feedback
