Been getting this message for a couple of days whenever I try to log into via https://app.plex.tv/desktop. Another topic was opened and marked resolved/fixed. But I have yet to see a fix. I’ve reinstalled Plex Server and can’t seem to get out of this loop, logging in, entering PIN, then blank screen with “Internal Server Error. Something went wrong on our end.”
I will say that it seems tied to my Plex Pass account. If I log in using my wife’s credentials (on local or remote server), it seems to work. I’ve tried to claim server on my MacBook (http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/) and Synology NAS (http://192.168.1.193:32400/web). Neither works with my account.
I cleared cookies and seem to be able to get to settings but can’t claim server, another loop…try to login to account and loop back to settings, showing unclaimed server.
Thanks for your help, but it didn’t work…

Also tried to remove Preferences.xml in Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server
Still getting Internal Server Error message.
The problem isn’t claiming server, as I stated earlier, I can claim servers using a different set of credentials, but only run into issues when logging in using my Plex Pass credentials.
Both server’s claimed using my wife’s credentials:
I’m having the same issue. I upgraded to 1.18 and started having issues so I uninstalled 1.18 and installed 1.17.0.1841 but I still have the same issue. I can’t log the server in or claim the server using my credentials, which have my Plex Pass. I can log the server in or claim the server using credentials from other members of the family but not mine. I even reimaged my hard drive with a backup image from a week ago but same symptoms.
It definitely appears to be related to my PlexPass account and not the Server or or DNS.
Interesting…because I only started running into problem the other day when I tried to listen to some stuff on Tidal (which I haven’t done for months). Plex froze up and nothing worked properly after that. And I read somewhere on another thread that there was a known issue with Tidal that was causing similar issues.
I wasn’t having any issues with TIDAL. I just saw there was an upgrade so I figured I’d install it. Once I started getting the internal server errors I decided to fall back to 1.17 which is when I noticed the ! triangle next to my name. I logged it out and I haven’t been able to get it to log back in since. I am using a Windows 10 PC as my server but the errors I’m getting are exactly the same as your screen shots.
i also reverted my mac back to about a month ago, with no improvement whatsoever
to my eyes this is definately a corruption issue of sorts at the authentication end regarding our accounts, especially considering BIGBERTHA managed to get somewhere using a different account
Out of interest i tried registering a new account - immediately my plex took me to the find servers screen - it doesn’t even get that far normally - but it can’t seem to see my server at all. Is this because it falsely thinks it’s claimed by my normal account?
Next i logged out of this new account, and logged back into the original - “internal server error” and blank screen (w/ plex bg)
I have forwarded the “Internal Error” images to the Plex.TV team and provided a link to this thread.
When they reply to me, I will reply here if they don’t.
