Side note: You should never add a folder to Plex into which you are downloading/ripping.
Is NFS enabled/Installed?
On Ubuntu/Debian, the NFS elements, surprisingly, are not installed by default.
On a Synology or QNAP server, enable NFS mode (server side)
then on the client (where PMS is), install that NFS client and mount the share.
Both can be active (different mount points of course) to work out the mount options but not difficult at all
The folder that my Movies library is pointing to isn’t the same folder that I am downloading to.
So it turns out that NFS was disabled by default. I have enabled it on the server now and set the NFS security settings to public for the media share. I then restarted the machine.
I have done the Plex dance again but still no luck.
