I’m new to Google TV - TCL 55"

I am having this same issue too. Happens frequently.

Would someone be able to provide a sample file to test with? I am unable to reproduce the issue yet. And possibly you Android Logs?

Can I send the log file in private?

I have the same issue, I have noticed it on firestick 2nd and 3rd gen, how to reproduce:

Direct play, firestick is 100% compatible with the following.

Mkv container
Video H264 profile 4.0 8bit 12-20mb bitrate
Audio aac audio
Tried with both ass and srt subtitles

Making a sample file is useless because the resulting sample video plays fine, I have noticed the issue is more prone to ocurr while playing media over 1gb in size, I can provide links to the original files but as I said earlier a sample file of a few mb wont show the same behaviour.

Same media can play perfectly directly without any transcoding and using hw decoding in the same devices but with different software like vlc for android, jellyfin, kodi, mxplayer, etc.

I was able to create a smaple file that can trigger the same behaviour, but it’s 180mb in size, how can I share it with you?

Here is the requested Sample file on google drive

Thanks I have added the sample file to the issue I filed for the above crashes as well.

This is occurring on a Nvidia Shield tube. It just started when I upgraded to 1.40, and only on new files added from Streamfab. Files crash the shield back to Plex home screen or Shield home screen. I’ve removed subtitles with the same result. The files will play if I start them on a roku, and then resume on the Shield.
