Plex Player no longer plays certain videos

Hello :slightly_smiling_face:
I have two AppleTV 4K devices, 2022 (128GB) and 2021 (64GB), both with tvOS 16.4. Recently (16.4?) the 2022 device no longer plays certain videos, but the other one does. With my iPhone 12 Pro Max (16.4) it won’t play either, on an iPad Pro 10.5 with 16.4 it plays. Videos that definitely played before now won’t play. Other videos continue to play.
This is new and did not happen before.

Plex Server Version 1.31.3.6868 (Synology DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 4)

  • Server was restarted.
  • tvApp reinstalled.
  • AppleTV disconnected from the power supply.
    Nothing helps…

Need a lot more detail here.

What type of files?
Server DEBUG logs which capture this ?

“Some things don’t work” but not telling us what doesn’t work isn’t helpful.

I have some demo videos in an extra Plex folder.
For example, this TS file: LG: New York HDR UHD 4K Demo | 4K Media

ATV 4K 128GB 2022: Does not play it

Before tvOS 16.4, the videos worked without problems on both devices.

I don’t think it’s a PLEX setting or the device itself.

BTW: The YouTube app also has a playback problem on ATV devices at the moment.

I reset the ATV 4K, logged in again and tried Plex again after installing the apps and now the videos work. Now, however, some of the demo videos are jerky.

In Plex you can switch on “Auto Adjust Quality” in the settings under Video quality, then it no longer jerks, but the other videos then do not play again.

This seems to be the error, but it has only been there since tvOS 16.4. I had not changed anything in the settings. But I can’t tell if this setting was on or off before, it seems to have been on.
