Plex Player not Playing on Chrome OS

Server Version#: 1.24.2.4973
Player Version#: Not really sure

I have an Acer C720P Chromebook that runs ChromeOS. When I first got Plex I could log into Plex from the plex website to basically this website address: https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/

It would play just fine on the Chromebook, or anywhere really. But a few months ago on Chromebook it no longer plays. I can still access everything, I see the play button, but when I click play nothing happens.

This goes for Podcasts, Plex Free TV, and my own personal library. Of course this works on other operating systems at home and elsewhere when I log in.

So is this something where Chrome OS is no longer supported? What can I do? I can provide more information if needed, just not really sure all that needs to be supplied.

I was having the exact same problem here…I have an Asus flip c302c
chromeOS Version 94.0.4606.77
and plex(android) app has played fine for years…but a few months back i noticed the issue and had to use the browser to play my plex stuff…

Today I looked at the issue closer, updated plex app…tried the beta…same thing.

Then I uninstalled plex(android) and reinstalled from Google play and now the app crashes 5 seconds after it starts up…I dont get to even see my content.

Plexamp works fine…but something on Android app is broken for chromeOS.

Same here, android app crashes after a few seconds on chromebook

yeah i just got an acer chromebook too. logged in with my gmail, all my bookmarks and passwords and configs all there, but go to the plex web page, its all showing like my other windows laptop. just wont play a damn thing

is there any movment on this issue or was a chromebook a pointless idea?

Exact same issue on a Lenovo Flex 3i. Have tried clearing cache/storage first, then uninstalling and rebooting prior to. No combination of things seems to work. Accessing Plex.tv via Chrome still works though.

I am having slightly different issues. All downloaded media on the chromebook gets corrupted in few minutes, thus making Download feature useless.
