Lately, I am having issues when playing movies on my Nvidia Tube Shield (latest firmware) via my Synology NAS DS918+.
Somehow, every time at around 10 pm the movie starts stuttering, forcing me to quit the movie, so return to the Plex menu and then tap continue watching. Only then the stutters stops. Very strange, what could be the reason for this malfunction?
The tube is not suitable as a server.
I think your Plex server is running directly on your Synology NAS.
I’d look out for scheduled tasks running in your local network, on your NAS, or in Plex Server which might be scheduled to start at that time.
Examples would be
Some device in the network starting a daily backup and saving it onto your NAS
The NAS itself starting some daily cronjob
Plex server starting its own server maintenance period, You can check the server settings https://support.plex.tv/articles/201553286-scheduled-tasks/ and move them to a time where you are not actively using your Plex server. (The NAS must not be in hibernation or switched off during that time though.)
