There are certain files that cause the player on one of my android TVs to reload when starting to play. I have a TCL TV powered by Android TV where this occurs, but only on certain episodes. Exact same episode plays just fine on my Android Phone and can Chromecast it just fine to that TV. It also plays fine on my Chromecast with Google TV dongle. Weird thing is if I start it elsewhere, I can usually resume it just fine on the TCL TV. I can provide actual episode file that consistently reproduces this, but would rather not post it here. I have however provided the network log as instructed in one of the KB. The issue was reproduced at the end of the log inbetween the two get log lines.
