Plex Player on ATV says folders are empty

I am configuring Plex Server on WD MyCloud Home and AppleTV 4.

There is content on the WD MyCloud in the appropriate folders. I reset the settings in the Plex Player App on the AppleTV and is recognized the MyCloud, but when I try to pin content the player says:

“no content available for this library the library is currently empty the server owner still needs to add media or remove any filters that may prevent it from appearing here please reach out to the owner for assistance”

I have read that this is a permissions issue, but I am not clear on where to check and make changes to appropriate permissions. Thanks for any guidance on this

Are your media libraries configured on the server?

The My Cloud Home devices have specific media folders that cannot change. A “Shared movies” folder for example that the movie library looks at.

I have moved content into the correct folders, The issue seems to be with the Plex Player not seeing the content and from what I have read it is a permissions issue, which makes sense. I just have no idea where to look for the permissions for the Plex Server. There is a “configure” button in the web based WD MyCloud interface, but when I click, it just loads a blank white page, never seems to resolve.

Thanks for the continued support on this matter

I used a different browser and was able to finish the Plex configuration inside the web based WD MyCloud interface. All is well
