I don’t really use Plex player myself to access my library, but I have a Plex server running on my Qnap TS-653A to allow access to a couple of friends. One friend uses the Plex app on his Sony Android TV and the other on his Shield Pro. I can access the player with my Shield or Sony TV. For me and my friend with the Sony TV, the Plex UI looks “normal” for lack of a better word.
Foy my friend with the Shield Pro the UI is different, almost as if it is “dumbed down”
If I need to troubleshoot playback issues, I can bring up the menu on my home setup, click on the 3 dots and select playback info to see what’s going on. For the one friend with the Shield Pro this option is simply not there. I went through the settings on his Shield but couldn’t find anything to account for why his UI looks different. It’s probably something simple I’m overlooking but if someone can point me inthe right direction, I’d appreciate it.
