Ok, here’s a head-scratcher. I’ve been using Plex for years. I currently have Plex Media server setup on OpenMediaVault.
I have the movie The Abyss, when I go to play that through Plex is plays The Green Mile. I went through the Plex dance and removed both The Abyss and The Green Mile. I added back in only The Abyss and it again plays The Green Mile. That file doesn’t even exist in the Plex universe now. When I play The Abyss movie file in VLC, it plays the Abyss. When I download from Plex, it downloads The Abyss and that file plays correctly in VLC. When I look at the XML, it points to the correct Abyss movie file. So far this happens with only one movie. Whether it makes a difference or not, The Abyss is the first movie in my list. I don’t have plex pass and don’t have trailers.
I’m at a loss as to how it’s playing a file that doesn’t exist anymore and how I can get it to play the file that it’s actually pointing to.
