On the latest Android Plex app on the Samsung Galaxy S20, wenn watching a movie and using the skip button, the stream plays around 3 times faster. Pausing doesn’t work. You have to watch from the beginning.
The problem also occurs when scrolling through a movie and after releasing it starts playing to fast.
Edit: Downloading the movie to mobile fixed the problem. Also on Windows I don’t have this problem, so something is strange with the Android App when streaming.
I have a Plex server running on my TrueNAS server in the basement. I have the exact same problem when streaming local videos to my Plex client running on a Nvidia Shield in the main viewing room. These videos play fine on my Windows 11 PC.
Similar problems. The difference is that the problem here is in the windows 10 server, and the Synology NAS server is OK
In addition, the Andorid app uncheck the selection “quality → automatically adjust the quality” will fix, and also manually selecting the quality when watching the video
The latest stable still has this problem. It’s very annoying. I want to use automatic quality for a reason but I’m forced to turn it off for most things to avoid this super speed playback issue.
i had the same issue on my shield, i uodated to the beta and the problems have gone. might be worth joining the beta program as the issue have disappeared from myself since i updated to the 9.1 beta
