The new Podcasts feature is a mess and very difficult to use. I was hoping to be able to switch my phone app to use Plex since I generally like the way they implement things but this should still be in Beta.
Sorting on several of my podcasts appears to be random and I can’t get it to correct. There don’t seem to be any options in the Android app to sort by date. Castbox has no issues sorting these correctly so this isn’t a podcast RSS issue
The recent episodes that pop up on the first screen often show listened to episodes even when there are 3 unlistened to.
Everything is multiple clicks to get to. Navigation in general is just bad and unintuitive. This is true on the browser and the Android App.
Needs a large button style driving mode that locks screen on.
Need an option to start on My Podcasts page instead of the page crowded with recommendations etc…
Overall, this doesn’t feel user friendly like most of Plex’s features.
Why isn’t there a sync button here? like “sync to mobile” or mark for sync?
Again when I click on the Podcast title I go to the useless recent page where it shows the first three episodes. Bring me to All episodes, with my preferred view type (hide played + oldest to newest)
those are my two main UI issues.
The delete after listening needs to have and immediately after listening option.
Agree with all comments. Additionally, the dedicated player I currently use on iOS keeps the screen on and prevents screen lock when playing and plugged in. I want Plex to do the same when playing podcasts.
