i’ve been running Plex on my Qnap TS-453A for about 2 years very happily. I recently moved and yesterday i finally got around to hooking up the NAS again. Unfortunately my Plex server wasn’t found by any of my devices, so i figured perhaps it’s an update thing so i ran the latest updates for firmware on the NAS (now on 4.3.4.0644 build 20180710) and Plex (PlexMediaServer_1.13.4.5271-200287a06_x86_64.qpkg).
First thing i noticed was that the installation took forever, and unfortunately, due to a bad click on my part, it removed plex again. After the second install my library was gone.
Now i’m rebuilding the server, and it seems to detect all the movies, but now posters are being downloaded, updates for metadata are taking forever, and most importantly i’m unable to claim the server.
I’ve looked around the forums, but can’t really find anything quite related.
Hope anyone can help…
btw. no other changes in the network, router, etc, are all the same. File transfers to the NAS are running at expected speeds.
