Did you UNINSTALL the old version before upgrading or did you upgrade on top of the existing?
when you say “reset Plex” , what did you do?
First I updated the plex as I usually do, that is, with the file that I transfer from plex server app. After that i Unistalled Plex and Install it again thats is what i call a reset.
When you do an uninstall, QNAP completely erases all the metadata.
Plex.tv is unaware of this (App Center doesn’t know to notify plex.tv)
You must
- open https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms
- REMOVE the now-deleted QNAP server
- Force reload (Control + F5) or fully restart the browser
- Install PMS on the QNAP again
- Create the server again from scratch
I´ve done that already. I didnt work.
Can the QNAP go to App Center and get updates / install new packages (as a test)?
When the qnap has internet access and the steps done correctly, it will work.
Its up and runing i waited 1 week tried again and it went super smoth. I still dont understant what was causing this.
Thank You
If it needed a week – there was a stuck cookie in the browser.
It was remembering the old server.
