Cannot claim plex server

Server Version#:1.32.7.7621
Player Version#:

i just updated my network (from BT to Orbi), and pretty much everything is working great - apart from plex.
i cant see my server.
plex server is installed on QNAP NAS, latest version,
in frustration, i deleted earlier installation, which worked fine before network update.
now i am unable to claim plex server- i click the button and nothing happens.

When you uninstall on QNAP, you delete ALL the metadata.
You must start over as a new server.

First go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms

Find the server you just deleted and REMOVE it

Next, Reload the browser with CONTROL + F5
(or close the browser and reopen it)

Now you will be able to claim and setup a new server instance on the QNAP.

Thanks for the reply, I didn’t mention in my post that I had already removed the server instance from my devices.

i click on ‘claim server’ and nothing happens

The most common causes.

  1. DNS failure.

  2. Routing - Gateway address incorrect / The NAS cannot get to the internet.

  3. Less common but also possible is: Date/Time clock of the NAS is out of sync with world time clock.

Awesome - thank you.

The default gateway has been incorrectly assigned.

All is well :sunglasses:
